I have re-married in 2008 and it's wonderful after 8 years
Military
Well I joined the U.S. Marine Corp in Oct.1974 Thru Oct. 1978.I went in the buddy system with my friend Steven Kowalski. Then after boot camp he went his way and i became a grunt(0311) for 4 years. after P.I. i went to I.T.S training out in Camp Pendelton.Ca. Then to Portsmouth,Va for Sea-Duty on the USS.Independence(CVA-62)For almost 2 years. Then my last 1-1/2 year at Camp Lejuine,NC.where i picked up Meritorious Sgt.(E-5)and got out exactly 4-years to the Day!!
Then 15 Months later i was hired with the Fed. Gov't.as a civilian employee at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in the Poconos in Pa. I work in the Industrial Paint area as a Foreman and have 0 years or so til im eligable for retirement !!!
And i did retire this year (2012) and loving it so far....
I always wanted to be a Football or Hockey player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea until i got married and my son was on its way!! As it turns out, they were right, but played amateur Ice-Hockey in Wilkes-Barre ,Pa. for 12 years.
Go to the Gym,a walk, bike ride etc.
My Dad and Mom,they always took us places, even when my dad died when i was only 10.....Expand for more
. Mom took us to New York to the Penny Arcade by bus, she did not drive, ever.....It was tuff groing up in the City
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Kowalski,s twins the Farley family, because we were like all bothers groing up together.
I love Ice-Hockey, football and still go camping and Back-Packing on the Appalachian and other trails in Pa.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 1/2 of it to family and Charity, then spend the rest on Me,my wife, invest and enjoy.
My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be over the Hill. I was so completely wrong in most cases.
Worked 3 part time jobs during High School, then 4 year in the Marine Corp, then worked 32 years at Tobyhanna Army Depot in the Poconos and a Spray-Painter and then a foreman for the last 12 years
Yepper, i still like to be comfortable, why not...
Some Ice-Hockey trophies and Plaques and am a 15 Gallon blood donor so far
In 10 years, I hope to be Done Back-Packing the Appalachian trail and others too. I'm going to get there by Foot and vacations all over.
My first job was at the farmers market,paper-boy, where I got paid $1.25 an hour to $2.25. What I remember most about it is was long 12-14 hour weekends and the paper route was a 135 papers a day.
When i got my picture taken for the biggest fish on a boat in the fisherman paper in a new Jersey magazine. and the deadly fire that killed 7 people in our 9 apt. building in Newark,NJ.
